Longings

The series ¨Longings¨ reflects the frustrated desire of man, all those dreams that once were feasible but now have faded. In the photographs the portrayed cling tightly to what they consider a lost hope: a bouquet of red roses full of freshness, the light bulbs in a surreal room, a gleaming toys showcase or the image of a loved one, representing their former craving for life. This dream appear available for the characters, but the scenarios are just a fiction, a bubble of their desires suspended in a nonexistent time.

La serie ¨Longings¨ refleja el deseo frustrado del ser humano, todos aquellos sueños que un día fueron factibles pero ahora se han desvanecido. En las fotografías los retratados se aferran con fuerza a lo que consideran una esperanza perdida: un ramo de rosas rojas lleno de frescura, las bombillas de una habitación surrealista, los juguetes de un resplandeciente escaparate o la imagen de un ser querido, representan sus antiguas ansias por vivir. Los personajes aparecen en disposición de ese sueño, sin embargo los escenarios son tan solo una ficción, una burbuja de sus deseos suspendida en un tiempo inexistente.
